I don’t remember a time in my life not on or near the water. At an early age my mom had a camera in my hand and my pops put a fishing pole in the other. Through it all, I’ve developed a deep love and respect for the ocean that has led to spending the last 10 years working on Icebreakers in the Antarctic and elevating my USCG license to a Master Unlimited Ocean.

I started Skiff Wanderer in a hopes to pass on my love for the ocean, share what I learn on the water and encourage others to get outside. Its allowed me to go on some great adventure and meet some amazing people. This whole project is about learning and growing. Not only for the viewers and followers, but for myself as well.

I grew up fishing in North Alabama for bass and bream. Coming from a long line of gear fisherman it bored me quickly. At a young age I discovered fly fishing and was immediately hooked. It wasn't long before I started tying my own flies. I cut my teeth on bass rivers targeting big small mouth and making weekend trips whenever possible to the Smokies and other tail waters in the Southeast.
